CHICAGO, July 10, 2007Executive Changes at Tribune Media Services

Tribune Media Services (TMS), the content-licensing unit of Tribune Company, today announced several changes in its senior management team.

The moves complete a reorganization of the TMS syndicate set in motion late in 2005. At that time, the company centralized the editing and distribution of its features to domestic and international clients with a single management team based in Chicago. TMS managers in Chicago and Los Angeles previously shared responsibility for these functions.

Effective immediately, Walter Mahoney will serve as Vice President of Global Information Services for TMS, and John Twohey will assume the new role of Vice President for News & Features.

Said David D. Williams, President and CEO of TMS: "Out of this reorganization will come greater clarity of mission within our News & Features Division, and a tighter coordination of all our syndication efforts. In making these changes, I believe we are positioning TMS to address more effectively the diverse needs of our information providers and customers throughout the world."

Mahoney joined TMS in 1974, and worked his way through the ranks, becoming Vice President for Worldwide Sales and MCT in 2004. He is one of the original members of the McClatchy-Tribune Information Services (MCT), which licenses news stories, feature articles, photos and graphics to media clients in the U.S. and abroad. In his new role, Mahoney will be responsible for worldwide sales and marketing of the MCT product line, and for expanding the number of suppliers of domestic and international content to MCT.

In 1977, Twohey joined the editorial department of the Chicago Tribune, where he held a variety of newsroom management positions, including associate managing editor for features, sports editor, Sunday magazine editor, editor of the Op-Ed page and design director. He has played various editorial and product-development roles within Tribune Company since that time. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Editorial & Operations at TMS. In his new position, Twohey will be responsible for all of the syndicate's editorial, operations, sales, marketing and technology functions.
