Chicago, IL, January 4, 2007 MCT Adds Eleven Papers to News, Photo and Graphics Services McClatchy-Tribune Information Services (MCT) announced today that it has added 11 McClatchy newspapers as contributors to their news, photo and graphics services. McClatchy's acquisition of Knight Ridder (in June 2006) has enabled the former KRT (Knight-Ridder/Tribune) services to expand its editorial offerings at no additional cost to customers for print and online editions. With the addition of the 11 papers this month, MCT will offer more than 300 regular columns and fixtures. The new contributing newspapers are: The Sacramento Bee; the Anchorage Daily News; Raleigh News & Observer; The Fresno Bee; The Merced (CA) Sun-Star; The Modesto Bee; The Beaufort (SC) Gazette; Hilton Head (SC) Island Packet; the Tri-City Herald, Kennewick, WA; The News Tribune, Tacoma, WA; and The Rock Hill (SC) Herald. These new contributors will add depth and insight to the MCT report, with more news and sports coverage in California and the Carolinas, as well as articles and images on movies, television, celebrities, health, food, books, travel and commentary. In June 2006, the Minneapolis Star Tribune joined MCT, offering increased sports and features.
