Tribune Media Services Names Rebecca Baldwin Editorial Director of Zap2it.com

Chicago, IL, October 24, 2005 — Tribune Media Services (TMS)today announced the appointment of Rebecca Baldwin to the position of editorial director for Zap2it.com. TMS' Zap2it.com, a consumer entertainment Web site, helps millions of consumers make smart choices for movies and television. The site had more than 2.4 million unique users in September.

Most recently, Baldwin served as director of product development for Tribune Interactive (TI). Prior to that appointment, Baldwin led the launch of Metromix.com, TI's award-winning entertainment Web site in Chicago, and served as product manager for the site. Before joining Metromix, Baldwin was arts and entertainment editor for the Chicago Tribune.

In her role as editorial director at Zap2it.com, Baldwin will be responsible for the Web site's daily entertainment coverage, its team of editors and photographers and developing new and exciting ways to merge technology and entertainment.

"Rebecca is both a seasoned editor of entertainment coverage and a master builder of Web sites. It's a great combination of credentials," said Barbara Needleman, TMS vice president for entertainment products. "As our editorial director, Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge to our group and her experience further solidifies TMS's leadership in online information about movies, TV and emerging entertainment formats. Rebecca also has an impressive record of accomplishment on the technology side of the business, which is important to the Zap2it.com team."

Since August 2000, Baldwin has been director of product development at TI, where she spearheaded the implementation of a new online production platform used on most of Tribune's Web sites as well as user registration systems, consumer experience testing, search engine optimization and reader-contributed content.

A native of North Carolina, Baldwin holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi; a master's degree in Journalism from the University of Florida; and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She serves on the Journalism Advisory Council for the University of Florida and is a member of the judging committee for The Chicago Tribune's Heartland Literary Awards. She received the 2002 Tribune Values Award, one of he company's highest awards.
